Start of the month means new Flying Blue promos of up to 50% off on tickets. While the deals this time aren’t as great as 33k biz-class seats to Paris (read about it here), you can still find some hidden sweet spots.

This month’s best deals take us to Amsterdam & Paris (yep, again). Book in October and travel by 03/31/24.

Destination: Paris
• Montreal
• Ottawa
• Chicago

Destination: Amsterdam
• Montreal
• Chicago
• Toronto
• Virginia
• New York

Try searching your cities regardless in case there are hidden discounts. I only did a quick search. Here’s some sample availability, Chicago to Paris, I found just now:

How to book / search availability:

  1. Go to Air France website and log in

  2. Click ‘Book with Miles’

  3. Search your airports, select your cabin tier, and exclude the dates for the calendar view

Flying Blue points are one of the easiest to accumulate with 5 credit card transfer partners: Chase, AMEX, Citi, CapitalOne, & Bilt.

What if you don’t have the points but want these deals?
What’s the fastest way to get points?

Right now, a single credit card sign-up bonus gets you roughly enough for round-trip business-class flights from these Flying Blue promos.

The Chase Ink Cash/Unlimited (referral link) business cards were recently bumped up to 90k points for $6k spend in the first 3 months. As you can see in the screenshot, this is one of the best Chase offers to exist.

My recommendation: Unless you’re maxing out the 5x categories for the Cash, get the Unlimited for everyday use.

Anybody can sign up for business cards (read on it here, search “business credit cards”). If you have any questions, reply to me and I’ll be happy to help.

Time to manifest that Europe trip you’ve been planning into reality!

⏳️ FINAL BOARDING CALL - TIME-SENSITIVE
Chase 30% Virgin Atlantic Transfer Bonus

Get a 30% bonus when you transfer Chase points to Virgin Atlantic from now until 11/15/23.

Transfer times are instantaneous, so you can wait until you’ve locked in availability before initiating the transfer. Virgin Atlantic also has 5 credit card transfer partners: Chase, AMEX, Citi, CapitalOne, & Bilt.

My all-time favorite redemption is using Virgin Atlantic points to book first-class flights to Tokyo via ANA.

In the glory days, round-trip first-class was only 110k points. Due to devaluations, these now run you 72.5k points one-way with fuel surcharge fees.

This 30% transfer bonus brings the cost from 72.5k back down to 55.8k, practically as low as glory day prices!

The best and fastest way to accumulate these points?

Yep, you guessed it. The Chase Ink Cash/Unlimited cards. Starting to see how powerful these cards are?

Even at the higher price, I personally think it’s still a no-brainer redemption. ANA has long topped the charts for the quality of its cabin products. However, Japan Airlines is about to give ANA a run for its money (see below).

P.S. If you want a step-by-step guide on how to find and redeem first-class flights on ANA to Tokyo, reply to this email saying ‘Tokyo first class!’ to let me know!

People are reporting 2 variations of this offer:

Click here to see if you’re targeted (affiliate links in this section). This offer ends either on 12/31/23 or when 60,000 people have redeemed it.

You need to have an AMEX card linked to your Amazon account. Go here to see how if you haven’t already linked your card.

Get Free Cruises Via Casino Status Matches

If you have Caesars Diamond or MGM Gold, you can status match to Carnival and Holland America for free cruise offers. People are reporting anywhere from 7 days to 22 days free.

If you don’t have status, you can get Caesars Diamond by getting the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card or FoundersCard.

Once you have Wyndham Diamond status from the card, head to this link to request a status match for Caesars Diamond. It could take up to a week for this to successfully update.

For those with status, head to these links to request your status match:

Both programs will require you to provide screenshots of your status card, but apparently, screenshots of the web portals where you have status will also work.

If you’re interested, here’s a more comprehensive overview of these matches with some reviews of the free cruise offers.

☁️ VACATION INSPIRATION
Japan Airlines Unveils Beautiful New Cabins

Japan Airlines just revealed its new cabin products. These are definitely going to set a new standard for flight experiences and quality.

There are 13 stunning Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on order. These feature:

• Six first class seats
• 54 business class seats
• 24 premium economy seats
• 155 economy class seats

This configuration looks to be premium-heavy which is great news for us award hackers. The first route will be from New York to Haneda and is expected to go live near the end of 2023.

Funnily enough, I’m personally most excited about the premium economy seats.

I love my personal space and heavily prefer not to be rubbing arms with adjacent passengers. I’m tearing up looking at those slide-out partitions. JAL, you’re a godsend!

The 3 pictures selected above don’t do the new products justice. If you really want to be impressed and see what’s in store, read JAL’s image-rich press release here.

There’s also a very well-done short video by JAL showcasing the new cabin products. Give it a watch!

P.S. The business-class seats are low-key hilarious. Many of us abhor office cubicles, only to now hop back into one for vacation 😹.
